The 2017 mean temperature was +2.19° above normal. Rainfall was 0.56” below normal. Growing degrees days were +273.32 above normal. 18 days 90°+, 1 day 92.6°. This summer we had a La Nina condition which is a cooling of the Pacific Ocean by as much as 3°-5°.It made the Atlantic Ocean off Florida 90° which caused all of the Hurricanes this summer. Sept 12th to the 29th was the warmest streak of days since the 1800’s; highest daily temperatures were 10° + degrees above normal. 5- 90° + days, we only had 0.27” of rain fall. Sept was the 3rd driest and warmest on record. My lawn was so dry a rabbit would have to pack a lunch to cross it. You can always water but in a flood you’re done. Congratulations to all of the growers and Dave and Carol Stelts they have more secrets than the Mason’s have. Lol
