The 2018 Mean temperature was +5.98° above normal. Rainfall was +2.09” above normal. Growing season degrees days were +809.5 above normal. 33 days 90°+, 1 day 99.8°. Spring started off cold and wet, and then went to summer hot and dry. 20/18 weather has had record rainfall, drought, cold, and heat you might say it’s been bipolar summer. Hurricane Gordon and Florence also paid us a visit with more rain. We need the cool wet summer a pumpkin is 91.6% water and a stock of com over it’s life time need 50 gallons of water. On 7/25 in Mahoning County they discovered 3 Feral Hogs they shot 2 and one escaped, Feral Hogs will destroy crops and river banks like a tiller went through it.
