The 2008 OVGPG Patch Tour and Picnic will be held July 27th. The tour will include the patches of Quinn and Matt Werner of Saegertown, PA, Jerry Rose of Huntsburg, OH, Steve Razo of New Middletown, OH, and Glenn Orr’s patch of North Lima, OH.
The Picnic will follow the tour, being held at the Youngstown Shriners Club and featuring a steak and chicken fry. Last year over 130 growers attended the tour with 110 enjoying the picnic.
There is no charge for the dinner following the tour, but you must have one paid membership to OVGPG per family. Bring a dessert, salad, or appetizer and a hearty appetite. Tableware, drinks, baked beans, potato salad, bread, and condiments will be provided. Although a steak knife may come in handy.
We also ask that you bring a prize along for the door prizes. Seeds, pumpkin related supplies, and pumpkin stuff are always welcome items. The drawings will follow dinner.
